The Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame and the Historical Museum of Bay County are proud to announce the six 2026 inductees to the MRRL HOF exhibit: Don Was, Jack White, Wilson Lindsey, Sharrie Williams, Sponge, and The Royaltones.

Don Was is a renowned musician, band leader, record producer, music director, documentary filmmaker, radio host, and president of Blue Note Records. Jack White is a key artist in the indie and garage rock movements of the 2000s, known for his guitar mastery, eccentricity, use of analog technology, and his co-founding of Third Man Records. Wilson Lindsey is a musician and photographer who shot an impressive collection of rock photos from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Billed as “The Princess of Rockin’ Gospel Blues,” Sharrie Williams is a singer/songwriter who got her start singing in church before becoming a major blues artist and founding the Faith Records label. Sponge is a highly respected rock band from Detroit that is fronted by founding member Vinnie Dombroski. The band was most successful during the 1990s, charting two albums and three singles during the decade. The Royaltones’ debut single, “Poor Boy,” was the first instrumental by a Michigan band to crack Billboard’s Top 20 in 1958. The band went on to back Del Shannon on several of his hits during the 1960s.
