“I’m Still In Love With You” (A. Green, A. Jackson Jr, W. Mitchell) - Al Green; Hi label, # 3 Billboard Hot 100, # 1 Billboard Hot Soul Singles – 1973. Inducted in 2024.

Al Green’s hit album and single “Let’s Stay Together” firmly established him as one of the most important soul music artists in 1972. Later that same year, Green once again teamed up with Memphis producer Willie Mitchell to issue another monster hit album, titled “I’m Still In Love With You.”

Released as the second single from the album of the same name, Green’s "I'm Still In Love With You" spent two weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Soul Singles chart in 1972, and it peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 that same year.

Green would record four more # 1 R&B hit singles, but by 1976 he had established the Full Gospel Tabernacle church in Memphis. By the end of the decade he was concentrating his energies on pastoring his church and gospel music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tg_Guhd6fEY
