Dr. J's Rock & Roll Book Reviews

Writing book reviews is not a major focus of the site, and the following articles are a mixed bag. Some like The Hard Stuff by Wayne Kramer, Teen Idol On The Rocks by Bobby Rydell, and 5,000 Ways You Know You're From Detroit by Chris Edwards and Elaine Weeks were sent to me to review by the books' publishers.

The Rick Nelson biography, Teen Idol, and Bruce Springsteen's Born To Run autobiography were inspirations for courses that I presented at both Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan and Rutgers University in New Jersey. The multi-part stories on each artist were put together from my class notes. The rest of the reviews came from some of the other books that I enjoyed and just wanted to write about.  5000Ways slipcaseJPEG
