To those of a certain age the name Roll Air brings to mind soft summer nights watching the lights glow in the summer dusk, large crowds, laughter, and the feel of rock and roll vibrating across the roller rink as the Battle of the Bands became the heartbeat of the venue and Roll Air was transformed into a mecca for teens in mid-Michigan.

Ten classic posters by Michigan artists were generously loaned to the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame exhibit for the past three years by Ann Arbor collector S. H. Kahn. The MRRL HOF will be returning the posters in June. Please visit the Historical Museum of Bay County, located at 321 Washington Avenue in downtown Bay City, to view this valuable collection listed below. Museum hours are 10:00 to 4:00, Tuesday – Saturday.

Thanks to donors like Coonan's Irish Hub, the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame continues to thrive at the Historical Museum of Bay County. I was the "celebrity bartender" last Wednesday, January 28th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM to support one of Bay City’s great local businesses and to say thanks for their generous donation.

Known around the world as “The Boogie Man From Hell, MI,” blues singer and guitarist Michael Katon was voted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2014. This past week, however, was the first time he had visited the Historical Museum of Bay County and its MRRL HOF exhibit.
